GuidedRangePrintedVerdict
Revenue$2.2bn to $2.4bn·Outstanding
Non-GAAP EPS$1.85 to $2.05·Outstanding

Issued with the August 12 fiscal Q4 print. The bottom of the revenue range, $2.2bn, is 7.5% above the $2,046m the company had just reported, so management guided sequential growth rather than a flat quarter.

Guidance published at the fiscal Q4 print; Coherent has not yet confirmed a date for this quarter. The row gains its date, and then its implied move, as they are confirmed.

FQ4 2026 guidance against the printed figures
GuidedRangePrintedVerdict
Revenue$1.91bn to $2.05bn$2.046bnInside
Non-GAAP EPS$1.52 to $1.72$1.74Above

The range was set at the May 6 Q3 release and never revised, so it is the range in force. Revenue of $2,046m landed inside it by $4m, four tenths of a percent under the top, and non-GAAP EPS of $1.74 cleared the top by two cents. Both figures also cleared the street, which had $1.65. The stock fell 7.99% the next session anyway.

355.64 to 327.23

The release landed after the August 12 close, so the prior close is that day's 355.64 and the reaction is August 13: down 7.99% to 327.23 against a 14.8% implied. Our preview quoted 343.00, off 3.55%, in after-hours trade at 5:47pm ET; the next session took it more than twice as far. Non-GAAP EPS of 1.74 dollars cleared the top of the company's own 1.52 to 1.72 guide and the stock still fell, which is the pairing this dataset exists to make visible. The implied was struck three sessions before the print, so the ratio is indicative.
