The preview passed on an at-the-money August 21 straddle at roughly 12% of spot, quoted off the August 14 close of 570.22 rather than the 598.58 the stock closed at on the day of the print. The reaction session settled at 482.59, a 19.38% fall and about 1.6 times the implied. The preview's own update put the drop at 18.37% as of 10:39am ET, which it labelled an intraday read; the session closed lower than that, so there is no conflict with the published figure. The after-hours move on the evening of August 17 was 6.94% to 557.01, a quarter of what the next session did.
