LZB: Expectations vs Outcomes

Every tracked La-Z-Boy print on both axes: what the straddle charged going in against what the stock did coming out, and what management guided against what the company printed.

One scored print is not a track record. A rolling ratio only starts meaning something after several quarters, and this name has 1. Read the row, not the average.

40.83 to 33.91

Adjusted EPS of 0.47 missed the street and the second-quarter guide came in light, and the reaction session closed 16.95% lower, from 40.83 to 33.91. That is 1.65 times the 10.3% implied, and it vindicates the preview's refusal to sell premium in a name whose previous print moved 25%. Two other figures circulated for the same reaction and neither is the session: Benzinga had the stock down nearly 24% in after-hours trading on August 18, and an intraday read on August 19 had it at 31.50, down 19.5%. The close-to-close figure is the one this row records.
