Q3 2026 guidance against the printed figures
GuidedRangePrintedVerdict
Net sales$197bn to $202bn$201.9bnInside

Amazon guided third-quarter net sales of $197 billion to $202 billion on July 30, which was 9% to 12% growth on $180.2 billion. Its October 29 release reported $201.9 billion, up 12%: inside the range and $0.1 billion below the top. The street had modelled $202.25 billion, above the top of the guide, so this is a company that hit its own number and missed the street's. Amazon said Prime Day fell mostly in the second quarter this year and that growth would have been about 4 percentage points higher without that shift.

Amazon reported after the close on Thursday, October 29, so the reaction session is Friday, October 30. The guidance block was scored from that evening's release. No implied move is on the row because no preview on this site priced one, so the row stays not_tracked on the move axis. The site's hub reported a fall of about 6% after hours, which is an extended-hours figure and would not resolve a move in any case.
