The Exits

Event hold
Hold through Wednesday night. The premium can go to zero overnight, and that is the accepted risk.
Profit order
If the stock gaps above $221 at Thursday’s open, sell into the first ten minutes. Gaps fade.
Time stop
Sell whatever is left in Thursday’s first hour, win or lose. Theta eats the rest by Friday.

Sizing reality: One contract controls 100 shares, about $21,000 of notional against the Aug 24 close.

Why This Trade

Nvidia reports Wednesday after the close. The guide is $91 billion at a 75% gross margin, and it assumes zero data-centre compute revenue from China. Consensus sits between $91.8 billion and $93.5 billion.

The stock fell 2.91% on Monday and closed at $208.48. That is 7% below where it started last week. The August 28 chain prices about a 6% reaction.

The bar dropped while the business did not. A full move up from here lands near $221, which puts the $215 strike inside the priced move. A beat plus one concrete China sentence gets it there.

This is a lottery ticket on a scheduled event. It holds through the print because the print is the whole trade.

The Chain

The Fri, Aug 28 strikes this trade lives in. Cboe delayed quotes as of 2026-08-25 14:50:18 ET, with NVDA at $211.67. The page refreshes the numbers hourly.
